Hours:
Minimum of 12 hours/day, with occasional weekends and/or holidays including on-call responsibilities. Primary work hours: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM; must be able to work rotating shifts.
SUMMARY:
Directing and coordinating Slitting, blanking, and warehouse operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Monitors daily safety, quality, and productivity of blanking, slitting, and warehouse operations
* Ensures establishment and maintenance of work instructions, process procedures, and work standards
* Provides leadership for the continuous improvement program (Kaizen)
* Monitors/directs all problem solving and improvement activities
* Assists in preparing productivity targets, objectives, and budget
* Purchases and controls supplies for operations
* Assists in developing cost saving solutions
* Purchases and controls supplies for operations
* Monitors RCA and countermeasure implementation for operations
* Educates/trains subordinates as necessary
* Prepares various daily, weekly, monthly reports
* Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises/performs with all employees involved in operations. Directly involved with management in the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of team members.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent; one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, quality manuals, operational procedures, work instructions, blueprints and technical manuals. Ability to write work instructions, root cause analysis, routine reports and business correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to calculate percentages, area, circumference and volume and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to read die blueprints and schematics.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to use various personal computer software (Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word). Experience with J.D. Edwards Software would be a plus. Knowledge of metric system.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Crane license, forklift license. (May be obtained in first three months of employment).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Proper safety equipment is required for work on the warehouse floor.

Must be able to handle stressful situations at times. Must work well with warehouse, and other team members. Will have to juggle multiple tasks at times.
